HIDE YER BOOZE

I didn't die. I don't know if I ever mentioned this here, but I got kicked out of my house a while back and had to support myself for a while. Pretty much zapped all time I had, which meant no reading, no drawing, no writing, etc. Just work, school, bills, rent, work, school, bills, rent, etc.

I've since made up with my parents and am living back home again. Thus me submitting pictures again. I have more time now and I work a lot less. So hopefully I'll be able to start drawing again.

In case no one's noticed, Camp Lazlo's my current Favorite Thing Ever. Expect some sillyness for that.

BTW... 54 views on the last submission and not a single comment? Geez. >_>;;; Oh well. I'm not much of a commentwhore. I just am surprised I didn't get the usual nonsense "LOL" and "wut?" comments.

Hello again! It's good to be back.

Well, yesterday my ferret, Cherry, dumped a cup of water on my iBook and now I'm waiting for it to dry out. I'm currently on my friend's HP Pavilion and, out of curiosity, I was all like, "Let's see how my gallery looks on this laptop!"





EW. MY COLORING LOOKS LIKE SHIT ON THIS COMPUTER. On my iBook, my colors are bright, deep, and really vibrant. On this laptop, everyone looks like a zombie. I was really, really surprised to see what a difference there is between PCs and Macs. I have no idea how to make things show up the same for different computers.

So if my coloring looks shitty on your computer, I'm really sorry. :/

However, I'm actually kind of curious now. What do you guys have, PCs or Macs? Desktops or laptops? Do you find the same thing happens when you look at your art on other computer makes/models? Does anyone have any idea what file type or compression or any tricks at all to bridging the gap between different screens? I usually use a PNG format, but apparently it's not the same.



In other news, I have a puppy and a new job. His name is Jacquimo (Jah-kee-mo) and he's a four-month-old Papillon. Also, I now work at Starbucks and it's SO MUCH BETTER THAN MY LAST JOB. Good lord. I'm actually treated like a human being. It's so nice.

Well, okay, I got some pretty positive feedback on the tattoo contest idea, so here we go!

REASON:

I'm jonesing for a new tattoo, but it's hard for me to find a design I like enough to put on my body. So that's where you come in.

RULES:

1. Draw a design based on the following options labeled "Things I Like", or just be super creative and really wow me some other way. I'm open to a lot.

2. Upload it to DeviantArt. Failing this, upload it anywhere else. Send me the resulting link in a Note, along with any information on the design (like if it needs an explanation or if it has an story that inspired it) and where you think it would look best on my body.

3. Wait to see if you've won.

4. MOST IMPORTANT RULE EVAH: Now it's possible that if I hold this contest, I simply won't pick a winner. Let's face it, if all the entries are crap (doubt it) then I won't put any of the designs on me. It's my body, afterall. But that simply means you should try like whoa to make an awesome design.

5. Tell your friends (your talented friends)! I want as many submissions as humanly possible.
